With this policy procedure, Mioro Souvenirs Ind. and Trade Corp. emphasizes the importance and priority of our corporate social responsibility principles for our community.

Mioro Corp. considers acting with social responsibility awareness in all its activities as one of the fundamental and immutable elements of its management understanding, which is part of its core values of modesty, respect for human beings, and love. We do not limit the scope of our understanding of social responsibility and our priorities to our business activities and their impacts. We determine our understanding of social responsibility and priorities by considering what is best for society and the environment. We strive to take a leading role in activities aimed at protecting democracy, human rights, and the environment.

Our Social Responsibility Policy;

 

Mioro Inc., believing that knowledge increases when shared, operates on the principle of “Necessity of Education.”

Mioro Inc. encourages the adoption of social responsibility among its employees and supplier companies, ensuring their cooperation and participation.

Mioro Inc. has adopted the principle of complying with Turkish National Laws and adhering to international standards and their interpretations.

Activities carried out by Mioro Inc. within the scope of Social Responsibility;

 

Non-Employment of Child Labor

 

Mioro Inc. ensures compliance with the legal age for employment and the prohibition of child labor under the Labor Law No. 4857.

The minimum age for employment, ensuring the physical and mental development of young individuals, is 18. No factory worker can be below the compulsory education age, which is under 15, or below the country’s permitted working age. Mioro Inc. does not employ individuals under the age of 18.

Additionally, our company adheres to the Vocational Training Law No. 3308. We do our best to provide all kinds of education and development opportunities in the workplace for our apprentices and vocational training students.

 

Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety

 

The establishment must provide a healthy working environment, take preventive measures to prevent accidents and injuries, provide health and safety training, and provide clean and potable water.

According to this provision, Mioro Inc. provides a safe and healthy working environment for its employees.

In workplaces with 50 or more employees, there is an obligation to establish a health unit according to the Regulation on the Duties and Working Principles of Workplace Health Units and Occupational Physicians. We have a part-time workplace doctor and a full-time nurse. Our factory conditions comply with all existing laws and regulations.

Periodic Examinations

Conducted once every three years and covers all personnel.

Basic First Aid Training has been organized in our company under the First Aid Regulation, and 23 of our employees have received this training.

-General hygiene inspections are conducted.

Workplace risk analyzes are conducted by the Workplace Health Unit and Occupational Safety Specialist.

 

Environmental Sensitivity

 

It aims to comply with the current Environmental Legislation, prevent environmental pollution based on environmental dimensions and impact assessment, and reduce pollution at its source. Our factory has adopted a business policy aiming to minimize harm to the environment, including minimizing waste and increasing recycling processes.

 

Equal Opportunity

 

Mioro Inc. has adopted the principle of Equal Opportunity. Discrimination based on gender, race, religion, age, freedom, sexual orientation, political belief is prohibited in our factory regarding job interviews, recruitment, training, working conditions, task distribution, salaries, bonuses, promotions, discipline, termination of employment contract, or retirement.

Working Hours

 

Working hours in our company comply with the Labor Law No. 4857.

Except in exceptional circumstances, workers (including overtime) are not required to work beyond the legal limit or 45 hours. Workers are granted at least one day off per week. Our factory legally provides employees with leave on annual holidays, leaving employment, and official holidays.

Daily shift time periods; are from 08:00 to 18:00.

Working hours are defined in the Indefinite Term Employment Contract.

 

Salary Levels

 

Salary is crucial for employees’ livelihood. In our factory, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, employees are paid their salaries, including overtime and bonuses.

As part of our company’s wage policy, an annual salary increase is implemented. The salary level does not fall below the legally determined minimum wage, and a market salary and benefits survey is conducted in the sector.

 

Anti-Bribery and Corruption

 

Rules

  • Our suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, customers, employees, and all business partners with whom we may work must not be listed on national or international Prohibited Persons lists.
  • We do not work with companies for which negative intelligence related to bribery or corruption has been received. The responsibility for conducting the necessary market research before starting to work lies with the relevant process manager.
  • Employees of the company cannot enter into indirect personal business relationships with corporate clients for their own benefit, in exchange for any service, money, or other consideration, borrow money, or lend money to customers.

Direct offers, payments, and various opportunities given to company employees by customers as part of commercial bribery are considered a crime and are punishable by law. In this regard, it is strictly forbidden for company employees to accept personal payments or bribes, directly or indirectly.

  • Assistance or donations from any person or organization related to the company cannot be accepted.
  • Company employees cannot accept gifts, various privileges, or gratuities from customers or individuals and institutions from whom we purchase services, and they cannot make any requests that would obligate the institution and the field.
  • Any gift to be given to third parties by Mioro must be given openly, in good faith, and unconditionally. Even if compliant with the Policy’s provisions, situations that may lead to conflicts of interest or may be perceived as such when heard in public should not be caused, and in such situations, , gifts should not be offered or accepted.
  • Compliance is ensured with the restrictions on donations and assistance imposed by the Capital Markets Law and relevant legislation, and they are carried out with the approval of the board of directors. The institution cannot provide material and moral support for political activities on behalf of the institution or on its behalf

We commit to comply with the current laws and regulations, ISO 9001:2015 QMS, ISO 27001 ISMS, ISO 14001 EMS, and ISO 45001 OHSMS requirements in our activities related to social compliance, occupational health and safety, and environmental management, and to continuously improve and enhance them.

Prohibition of Child Labor

 

Mioro Inc., within the framework of Labor Law No. 4857, employs personnel while observing the minimum working age and the prohibition of child labor provision.

The minimum age for employment is 18, which ensures that young people complete their physical and mental development. No factory worker can be below 15 years of age or below the working age permitted by the country. Mioro Inc. does not employ personnel under the age of 18. In addition, our company complies with Law No. 3308 on Apprenticeship and Vocational Training. We do our best to ensure all apprentices and vocational education students receive all kinds of training and opportunities for development in their work areas.

 

Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety

Anti-Bribery and Corruption Rules

Partners with whom we collaborate, including our suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, customers, employees, and all other potential partners, should not be listed on national or international Lists of Prohibited Persons.

We do not work with companies for which negative intelligence related to bribery or corruption has been received. The responsibility of conducting the necessary market research before starting to work lies with the relevant process manager.

Employees of the institution cannot engage in indirect personal business relationships with the institution’s customers for their own benefit, demand any service, money, or other consideration in exchange for any service, nor can they borrow money or lend money to customers.

Direct offers, payments, and various facilities provided by customers to company employees under the scope of commercial bribery are considered illegal and punishable by law. In this context, it is strictly forbidden for company employees to accept any form of indirect or direct payment or bribery.

No assistance or donation can be accepted from any individual or organization associated with the institution.

Employees of the company cannot accept gifts, various privileges, or favors from customers or individuals and institutions from whom we purchase services, and cannot make any requests that would obligate the company and its area of responsibility.

Any kind of gift that Mioro intends to give to third parties should be openly, sincerely, and unconditionally given. Even if it complies with the provisions of the Policy, situations that may lead to conflicts of interest or may be perceived as such when heard by the public should not be allowed, and in such cases, gifts should not be offered or accepted.

Compliance with the restrictions on donations and assistance imposed by the Capital Markets Law and relevant legislation is ensured, and it is carried out with the approval of the board of directors. The institution or on behalf of the institution cannot provide material or moral assistance to political activities.
